I really hope someone can help.

I'm still bf my 13 month DD. She was a bottle refusernfrom the age of 4 months. I've tried and tried to get her to take milk from a beaker but she just spits it out. She takes water so knows how!!

I've returned to work so have managed to cut down to just 6am and 7pm but don't seem able to lose these feeds.

In the morning when she wakes she just screams and cries until she gets the boob!! It seems to be getting worse rather than better. She then feeds for absolutely ages - like 30 mins.

I have to stop this in the next 2 months as have overnight duties at work but I just don't know how best to go about it.

Yesterday my husband tried getting her up and I hid but she just cried and cried until I appeared and she then points at my boobs!!

Argghhhh please can someone help?!!!

Coming from the perspective of a extended bast feeder, you only have to stop if you want to. I found that my LO adjusted to feeding when am around and understanding that it is not available if I am not around. Supply just adjusts. Longest I've been away is a week. I've learned that it doesn't have to be all or nothing!

Dd1 stopped feeding at 14 months but really wasn't interested in milk in a cup so she has lots of dairy foods. At 2.5 she now wake aof milk every few days but has never been a milky baby.

She was relatively happy to stop feeding when she knew porridge was available instead!!
