Infant feeding

Anyone's baby no longer interested in milk?

She's six months old and recently started weaning, but she started refusing feeds even before weaning. She still wakes up once or twice in the night for a feed, but she's now just down to three 4 or 5oz feeds a day if that, seeming to use them just to send her off to sleep. She doesn't feed if she's not tired/due a nap. Is this normal?

I'm worried about her not getting enough nutrition, though she still poos and wees pretty regularly. She doesn't eat much (in terms of solids) either.

My daughter just didn't want milk at 7 months. She would just outright refuse to drink it. So, I just gave her loads of dairy. Her meals consisted of breakfast:rice pudding, custard or milky porridge then lunch was leeks in cheese sauce, fish in cheese sauce, cauliflower cheese or sometimes just mashed vegetables and then pudding was again custard or petit filous. Another petit filous about 3pm then dinner was usually some form of meat and then more dairy. I did also used to mix steamed pears or apples in with her porridge and custard as lots of dairy means mega solid poops. However, I got the balance just right after a few days and she was fine. As she went on, I introduced more meat and fish and less dairy but she seemed to thrive on it and is now a very clever, strong and healthy 2 year old so don't worry. Hope I have helped you, sorry its rather long!!
