TMI- not very big nipples - potential issue?

Bit of an embarrassing one.

My nipples aren't very large. My boobs are quite large and rounded.
Though the interwebz I have heard this can cause problems feeding baby... any truth to this?

Asked my mum who said 'well they might get bigger, I BFed your sister no problems, way less hassle than bottles (I was premi so syringe then bottle fed) but whatever you do I'm sure it will be fine.'

Oh Dr Google, you cruel worry-wort. Decides to listen only to mummy dearest from now on...

Obviously we can't compare Grin but mine are the same. I had to put a finger on my boob to keep it from covering my LO's nose when he was feeding when he was very little but the nipples were never a problem for me...

Mine are reasonably small. One was flat, which was the only problem I had with my nipples. Once the adhesions stretched out (yeeowch! Otoh, it's no longer flat!) it was fine.

In have giant boobs and (relatively!!) tiny nipples so inward worried too but all's worked out fine. In the early days I did have to pinch my breast a bit to let DS breathe :) but that was only for a short time.

I had never really thought about the size of my nipples until the mw pointed out that they were very small!

DD did have a little trouble latching at first, which may or may not have been due to the shape/size of my nipples. She manages to suck them into shape no problem now though. The only "problem" I've had is having to buy the smaller size funnel for my breast pump!
