Hi I wanted some advice as am at my wits end!
My 10 day old has become inconsolable after each feed. She is mixed feeding on expressed breast milk and formula, both from the bottle obviously.
Our routine is generally
- watch for feeding cues
- warm milk while changing nappy
- feed around 60ml
- wind
- feed more if she wants
- wind
Sometimes at the end of this we get alert, awake time but more often than not she screams, goes red, beats her fists and draws her legs up into frog position. She often hiccups too. Was mostly evenings but now almost every time.
We are feeding her in an upright position, winding over the shoulder, using slow flow closer to nature teats. She is the same after breast milk or after formula and it takes 45 mins- 2 hrs to get her to stop after each feed. I presume this isn't normal??
