What age to stop bottle feeding ?

What age should I try and get my lo off the bottle. Lo has a 7floz bottle of cows milk for bedtime, and morning milk about 4floz from a cup (sometimes topped up by bottle depending on lo mood).
When should I be trying to stop lo having a bedtime bottle of milk, lo does enjoy the milk at bedtime. Lo is now 12 months old. When is the right age to reduce the amount and should I stop bottle or just give beaker ??? Any advice appreciated.

Its entirely up to you, the only thing to bear in mind is that milk given from a bottle will coat the teeth more than if given from a cup. But if you brush teeth after bottle and before bed that shouldn't be a problem.
If you wanted to stop the bottle I would say you would definitely have to replace it with a beaker of milk for at least a while.

My dd is 13mths has same amount of milk as poppy101 but she just won't take to the beaker. She will drink her water or juice from any beaker but refuses milk.

When do you faze out morning milk?

No real worries at the moment with regards to teeth as lo still has none.

What age would you introduce a beaker at bedtime and how much milk do you give in a beaker at bedtime then ?

ds is 18mo and still likes his morning and bedtime bottle. Have no intentions of stopping it. There was a thread the other day about the oldest bottle fed and I'm sure there were some on there about 4 yo.
It's all personal preference.
I like the fact that a bottle jammed in ds mouth will calm him down when he gets hysterical with over tiredness (very, very occassional - but still happens).

Thanks for your suggestion, I am sure I will now when the right time is to stop giving a proper bedtime bottle.
