I went on the London Eye on the anniversary of the death of my DH1, was nice to do something positive to remember him by

You should go wherever you have a yen for, YG. Indulge yourself with some serious wallowing in the memory of Nigel. Talk about him with someone who knew and loved him.

What about Mio Modo on Wellington Street? Or Piccolino's on Park Row? Both not too flashy but nice. I go to Leeds a bit with work and like those two places. Also recently went somewhere else but can't remember what it was called for the life of me. It was down near the Calls, near Oporto.

Thinking of you Yorkie. I like Bibi's but can be quite pricey. I'd explain where it is but I'm not good with directions . They have a website tho.

Yorkie - I agree with anorak too. Go wherever you feel comfortable to remember Nigel. As long as you avoid Pizza Express, you should be fine

Will be thinking of you all

Ok leeds ideas:

During the day

what about temple newsham farm and then a picnic in the grounds. The girls will be involved in the animals and you can take pleasure from their enjoyment.
Or if on your own a massage at neal's yard

Evening

Do not go to malmaison or Da marios

The Living Room is lovely and has a lively atmosphere and is (comparatively cheap)

Ferrets hall in headingly is pretty good (but living room better)

the Shebab or the Nawab is good for an indian, or Hamsas (sp) for a veggie indian

Oh YG. Cannot believe it's a year ago.

No thoughts on restaurant as don't know Leeds. Just wanted to post that your plan seems like a really good one and that I will think of you and the girls (even tho I've never met them) on the day.
