Ok, this is to mark the loss of my prgenancy which because it was a blighted ovum there never was a baby although I had all the symptoms of being pregnant, so I am waiting for nature to take it's cause adn mourn my loss of something which physically never existed but seemed so very real to me

Gothic...don't ever feel that you are not mourning a baby because you are...you are mourning the baby that started to exist for you in your heart and dreams as soon as that pg test showed positive and that is as valid a loss as if you had an ordinary mc.

Don't ever feel that your feelings are sily or unecessary because of the nature of this pgy - you have every right to grieve for this baby and when you are ready I wish you every luck with trying again.

I had one of these but didn't find out until 12 weeks. It made feel really sad for a while then really angry at 3 months wasted time.

Aw, gothicmama, so sorry to hear your news. I had a blighted ovum too. S/he would have been 7 by now. And I also felt that I didn't have the 'right' to miss something that never really existed. But mumto3girls is right. Your baby did exist. S/he existed for you - in your heart and in your plans and hopes and fears for the future. Give yourself time to mourn, and look after yourself.

(Probably no consolation right now, but I got pg again very quickly after my blighted ovum. My dd1 was conceived a couple of months later and will be 7 next month.)
