I had a m/c in june and there are a few ppl in rl that are due a few weeks after me. One of them we see quite reg but DS1 said y'day as we were waiting outside toddler group

"mummy, is X coming today?"
"yes ds1"
"shes got a baby in her tummy, is it your baby mummy?"

to which i replied "no its Xs baby sweetie"
ds1: "where did your baby go then mummy?"

I didn't have to reply as someone opened the door for us to get in at that point

They take in much more then we think. I m/c in April and a good few months after we were at the supermarket and walked passed the nappies, ds who is 4, piped up 'Mummy shall we get some nappies to send to our baby'

I had an m/c in April (used to be known as Toadstool), and DD (4) has discussed it from time to time - she's fully aware it went away as we had to take her with us to the hospital when I had my m/c scan. She's drawn a baby in our family and said 'That's the baby that was born and is called X', and this Summer she weanted to light a candle in a church we visited 'for the baby that was born but went away'. It makes me very (esp as due date was next week) but she seems OK about it all.

My boys didn't know I was pg, but unfortunately witnessed me collapse and haemhorrage-that was in August, they still ask questions and talk about me going in the ambulance DS1 (6 yrs old) talks about the blood, DS2(3 years old) talks about me having red on my bottom.
The spooky thing was that on the way to the doctor to be checked over as I thought things were going wrong with the m/c DS2 said, I'm cuddling my baby in my arms, on the way home he said "I've got a baby in my tummy", we hadn't spoken about babies to him or anything so I don't know why he said it, especially then
