he lost his Dad 14 months ago. They were so close they spoke everyday and saw each other all the time. his Mum is too wrapped up in her own grief to be able to that her children are grieving too and we hardly see her anymore which feels like another loss. he doesn't talk about it at all and has just bottled everything up. his work is incredibly stressful and I am just really worried about him.

its good you've noticed he's bottling it up
try to chat to him and bring it up, but dont push it
but dont assume him not wanting to discuss how he feels means hes over it (can you tell I'm bitter 
)
