Hi there
sorry if this is long
My friend is living with her partner of just over a year. They have not been trying to get pregnant(but have talked about it and were going to at some point), but she missed a pill and has been really ill the last month or so and she has just found out today she has been going through a miscarriage.
Her partner has 2 children overseas and is having awful problems with his ex-partner, they are meant to be going out to visit them in a few weeks, but his xp is currently denying access to him.
I just want to help my friend in anyway I can.

If anyone has any kind words or advice that I can offer her I would be grateful

Thankyou

My heart goes out to your friend. There are no standard words of comfort to give - plenty of things you shouldn't say though - it depends how she feels. When I lost my baby I didn't want to see or speak to anyone for a few weeks and the most thoughtful thing anyone did for me was my Grandmother driving a 1 hour round trip to leave flowers and a card simply saying she loved me on my doorstep. I think the best advice is to listen when she wants to talk and to reassure her that she needs time to grieve. I can't imagine how awful she must feel about going out to see his ex's children, make sure she knows that you are there for her and she doesn't have to go. I'm sorry I'm not much help. xxx
