potty training

we are 6 days in to potty training our 2.5 yr old daughter. she is incredibly willfull and hates being reminded by me 10 times an hour to use the potty and to be honest i can't blame her as i'm getting bored of my own voice doing the asking. there are still obviously lots of accidents especially when she's tired (deliberately weeing on a jigsaw puzzle and her bedroom floor).

should we carry on what we are doing, do the pull up pants work or do they just confuse and set you back?

Some advise please from mums who have been through the same. this is without doubt the hardest thing we've done so far!

Hideous isn't it! I remember it well, my twin DDs are 4 now. I think if your DD is still having lots of accidents then I would put her in pull ups for a while. 2.5 is still quite young for potty training and she doesn't sound quite ready for it. Pull ups didn't confuse my DDs, they eventually got used to pulling them down by themselves to wee. I didn't put them in proper pants until at least 7 out of 10 wees were in the potty or toilet! Too stressful weeing and poohing everywhere, for her and for you. Good luck.

well she's back at the child minders tomorow so i think we'll be using pull ups. interesting you think she's young as i thought we'd waited a long time.

she's at the park with her grandma now in pants, should be interesting when they get back!
