Headbutting 10mo

My 10mo has started headbutting the floor. I thought it was frustration at not being to reach toys etc, but he has started crawling now and is still doing it.

When he's tired he'll often start bashing himself on the head with a toy, but the headbutting seems to happen throughout the day. Could it be teething, as he has another 2 teeth coming through (has had 6 in the last 6 weeks).

Have no answers - my boy does this as well. He went through a phase of not doing it and then it started again. He still does it on occassion and he is 22months now.

I used to think he does it because he was angry/frustrated/tired etc., but it seems to be all of those and others. Have no solutions, other than to hold him after a few bashes and to comfort him. Still headbutts the floor/my head/nearest hard surface.

my dd went through a phase of hair pulling and head bashing around 10 mnths.she did it at times of stress:feeding in a high chair and teething.i started feeding her smaller amounts at a time and massaging her head frequently and then she fortunately stopped.
