DS is 7.5 months, always been very high needs except for at night. Slept through very early on. Has just started waking after half an hour and screamim=ng everytime I put him down. Help! He doesn't seem in pain, he seems fine when I pick him up. Losing the plot! Help!

If your DS is high needs usually my guess is hes becoming more aware of things and when he comes into a light sleep is deciding that he would quite like you to come to him. they become much more aware of their surroundings at that age. Its really horrible if you have been used to him sleeping. It may be a phase (they have so many of them) but if not, I guess you may have to join the rest of us in having broken sleep until you decide best way to tackle it ( i'm guessing you know the drill about options on this) My DD1 wasnt too bad a sleeper but went through phases which we usually had to sort eventually (with CC sometimes) Whereas DD2 is a different matter altogether, we still havent sorted that one and she is 11 mths!!!!!!!!!! Hope its just a phase and it sorts itself!!!!

There is a brilliant book from 'Millpond Sleep Clinic' on solving children's sleep probs. It explains about their sleep cycles, different sleep issues, etc and has excellent plans for sorting out the probs. I got it from library and it was v helpful with DD.
