Hi i'm also going through a similar thing. Things i've done/going to do:

Moved all cleaning products high up so he cant reach (i have a tall cuboard)

But plug covers in spare plug sockets

Catches on cuboards

moved all ornaments to either un-reachable or put them away

catch on fridge

baby gate at bottom and top of stairs

moved all razors and tweezers and my make up on to top shelf in my bathroom cuboard (out of reach)

Moved my kettle so its now in the middle of my work surface rather than the edge so he cant tug on wires

Moved my medicines to top of cuboard in kitchen

Fire/radiator guards.

I'm also thinking of taking my coffe table upstairs as it has sharpe corners, unscrewing the glass doors on my tv stand for a little while and putting a catch on toilet (dont want him getting flushed away - lol)

I've read that most accidents happen either on stairs or in kitchen and to make these prioritory, maybe getting a playpen in the kitchen for when your cooking/washing dishes etc. Apart from what i have mentioned above i'm just going to do things as and when problems arrise.

Good luck x

you can get shatter proof film to go over glass doors etc - we out them on when DS1 was at this stage (5 years ago) and they are still fine.

Re the TV cabinet - we have put masking tape around the whole thing to stop DS3 opening the doors and eating the DVDs - doesn't look pretty but does the job

leave a cupboard in the kitchen full of stuff he can't break. then he can pull it all out while you do stuff in the kitchen.

those plug socket covers are totally useless IME. DS could pull them out himself at about 9 months!

If you have keys in locks around the house then take them out.

Put safety film on any low glass.

Go round the house on your hands and knees - you'll get a different perspective!

and dont buy the boots cupboard locks with the magnet to open them unless you are sure you will NEVER lose the magnet!!
they are very good and secure, but ds keeps buggering off with the magnet..
