Now talks about it all the time (I heard ET talking in my room, I saw his glowing fingerin the dark) Initially I did the whole "its just a movie" etc but then realised she doesnt seem scared, just wants to talk-maybe cant think of anything else to say?? Should I let her tell these wee stories and say " oooh lucky you" blah blah..or should I keep on with its not real. In broader sense too, when she tells me something that is just her imagination/a lie (depending on how you look at it) what should I do? I remember someone telling me at 5 they cant distinguish between their imagination and reality..im doubtful.

let her tell as many stories as she wants.

Sometimes dd2 does this, and half way through, ask her if it is real or just pretend and she will tell me it is just pretend. I say that's okay, and she can carry on, I just wanted to know what it was.

She seems happy with this and invents the most incredible stories.

thanks she does tell me its real, usually, until I say "really?" in a way she knows that I know shes fibbing (in instances when its important like whys her best friends in tears)
