Is it teething?

I feel like i'm doing something wrong!!! My dd is 13 months old and for the last month or so has been waking in the night between 1-4am. She will be up for up to 2 or 3 hours and seems to find it really difficult to get back to sleep. She isn't particularly unhappy but the only way she will go back off is if she has some milk. She used to be such a good sleeper and she goes down at 7pm completely happy. Why is she doing this now?? Any ideas anyone? She has all 8 front teeth but so far has no back ones. Teething was bad with all of these but this seems different.

Could be teething...could be a growth spurt. Babies do change their sleeping habits from time to time especially if they are developing new skills. My 3 year has had a few periods this year where he started waking for milk in the night for a week, sometimes more and they generally coincided with him gaining new skills or talking more etc. He always woke in the night when he was teething as well....but always went back to sleeping for longer afterwards.

Feeding lying down if you are bfing and/or co-sleeping if you ffing can help to minimise the disrupted sleep, also getting a nap in the day with you LO if you can helps. The mantra "This too shall pass" is helpful in situations like this
