3 year old wetting herself

My 3 year old was dry at around 2.5 years and hardly had any accidents. However, for the past 4 or 5 weeks, she's had tons of "accidents". She will go days without doing one (usually when she's at nursery) but often the days that she's home, she has at least 3 accidents and I don't understand it! I wondered if she had an infection to start with, but since she goes days without an accident, I really don't think so. I've cut down on her apple juice as I suspected that it might make it worse, increased her water intake and she does drink a lot. Often there is just a small patch of wet (not a full-on wee) - like she's left it so long that there's a small leak. I've tried all sorts to get her out of this - coaxing, telling her off, taking her regularly to the loo - I feel I'm always saying "do you want a wee?". I really don't know what's wrong with her! Often the accidents are when she's watching TV or is involved in outside play so I wonder if she's just too tied up in what she's doing to be bothered to go.
Any pearls of wisdom very gratefully received as this is driving me crazy!!
Thanks

Can't give you any solutions I'm afraid, just shared experiences! My DS1 is 3.5, been dry at night for quite some time now. But strangely he goes for months without any accidents, then during the space of 1 week, he'll wet the bed every single night. We find this perplexing as we don't do anything different, and no external factors are affecting him. So we put up with broken sleep and tonnes of washing and have to resort to 'night time pants' (pull ups) then suddenly he'll be dry again for months on end.

Very strange!

If you can't think of anything that might affecting her i.e any change in childcare/nursery? new baby? new home? anything at home that might be affecting her? (i.e relationship wise), then I'd have a chat with your HV just to rule out anything like a water infection.

I'll be interested in any other posts you get.

Thanks for that. I haven't even tried to do nights yet - I'm so concerned that she can't seem to be dry during the day that I don't even want to think about how hard it is going to be to get her to go through a night!!
Today she has wet herself twice - and once she had fallen asleep in the car which I think is understandable. However, the other one was while watching TV again!! My sofa is really suffering!!
