Hi all im quite worried and needing some advice, my little boy is 12 weeks, almost 13 . He smiles coos and seems to respond well when im talking to him, he even seems to be trying to laugh. But when im out of his line of sigh, clap, sing ect or if i press buttons on toys that play music he wont turn to see where the sound is coming from. I know hes really young to maybe start worrying so soon but my 4 year old daughter has autism and this is one of my main concerns with my son now. As some mums will know, not resonding to sound that is out of sight can be a big indicator of something not being quite right, my daughter was my first child so her development was ' normal' for me, so im just wondering around what age u would expect baby to start to turn to sounds out of sight, im probably worrying way too soon but if anyone has any advice/ info on their own experiences on a typical developing baby i would really appreciate it, thanks xx

Also he had his hearing check when he was born and passed, and when i have his attention and move around the room he does follow me with his eyes, it just seems to be when out of his line of sight

He's probably just not got the muscle tone in his neck yet. Just because he doesn't turn to a sound does not mean he doesn't hear it.

I wouldn't be worrying until past 4 months.
