clingy child

my 5 year old daughter is being really clingy with me at the moment we are staying at my mums at the moment as she is away with my oldest and her partner. she wont let me go any where and she is right there behind me she has always been like this with me I'm a single mum so just me and the girls any way how can I get her to be more independent

she is every bit a mummy's girls would struggle sleeping out she is loud and struggles with a lot of things always needs your attention a lot and like to know your always there she is fine at school as far I know but are struggling in some areas she not down as having disibilites how can I make her more independent and is there anything I can use take her to

I think it may be a your situation and an age thing. You could be writing about me. I am a single parent to 4 boys and my 5yo has become very clingy the last 6 months or so. He cries when I go to work or the shops. He wants to go with me everywhere. My 3rd son was also clingy and shy at this age. Although he is still very shy, he is less clingy and willing to give things a go. I am hoping DS4 will do the same x

Yea I'm hoping so and that once we are back home and in our normal surroundings she will be OK I managed to get her out if being clingy and she was doing so well she has always been a little like this anyway x
