... Because my 6mo DD just up for the first time! A major achievement as her Pavlik Harness was only removed on Wednesday having been on for 3 months!

That's fab! I've never heard of a pavlik harness before - what did it do for her?

My DD has just learned to swim (with armbands). She is almost three. We recently upped and moved to another country and our new house has a swimming pool. When we arrived six weeks ago she was terrified of the pool and wouldn't get in it. Yesterday she swam six lengths unaided (apart from the armbands). So proud of her.

Mine (5) has just swum a length using butterfly stroke. I can't do two strokes in butterfly!!

Mine (14 months) has just learnt to moo when we ask what a cow says, sniff when we ask what a pig does (he's trying to snort), and 'brrrrrr' when we ask what a car does! I'm relieved as he only has one word (car) but it is so clear he understands everything we say :)

Just want him to say mama!!!

Aw these are wonderful!!! Imogen a Pavlik harness is for hip dysplasia which she had because she was breech. Finally off and she's raring to go!

My DD (2.4) has just grasped charm and manners. She's turning it up to 11 and enjoying the positive effects.

8 month old DD has just started saying "ummmm-maaaa" whenever she sees me.

We're currently on hols visiting my family (not in the UK) and it's been a real pleasure watching how quickly 3 yo DD has picked up my mother tongue.

My 5 year old swam a good distance underwater in the lake today (she can't swim with head above water for some reason) after finally realising that its not much different from the water in the swimming pool. She swam at least five metres using her snorkel.

My severely speech delayed 2.8yr old said 'more ice cream please mummy'! Four months ago she didn't have a single word and was so unhappy and frustrated.

13 months old just got the hang of sleeping through!!! I seem to have forgotten how to - still waking up at 1am and 3am gazing at the baby monitor in wonder. Baby also took first steps on my birthday last week. Perfect present for mummy

DS is 7 and very cautious. Recently he completed a high-ropes course which absolutely terrified him but he did brilliantly! I asked him how he felt after doing the scariest bit and he said "Awesome." He managed better than me.

I also hand child-safe lids to him to open now. Ahem.

He managed to leave his best friend's house sensibly and without delaying for 3 hours yesterday, I was amazed.

My Dd (3.4) has just successfully potty trained using a potty

Today we got the delivery of her very awesome buzz Lightyear toilet seat, and she used the toilet with no help.

DS (19 months) has had a bit of a big week - I think he's gone through a leap. Today he pointed to his eyes and said 'eyes' and then the same for mouth. He counted to 10 fluently yesterday and sang and did all the actions to Wind the Bobbing Up. I am loving this age!!

Both of mine learnt how to swim using one of those swimming 'noodles' (you know the floats?) within a 20 minute period the other day. At the start of the session they had no clue, at the end paddling away with confidence with noodles firmly tied around them. It was wonderful esp for DS1 as he's historically been scared of the water.

Cruising around his hospital cot at 14 months. I know it's late but not bad considering his last abdo surgery was only 4 weeks ago
