Hello ladies,

I would love to hear any of your suggestions for new and fun activities I can try with my DD on my day off during the week and at weekends.

I feel like we're in a bit of a rut of indoor toys/swings/soft play/library and would love some more ideas, especially things to do at home when it's raining. She lives drawing and painting but this only really entertains her for 20 mins or so.

Thanks so much Smile x

She is a little bit young yet, but I like to see children from two years old introduced to making music - either singing to SUITABLE material, playing percussion to start to learn musical 'time', or if you can afford it for her next birthday, a Keyboard - NOT a toy one, but at least 61 full size keys.

When our DS was little, both parents were learning the electronic organ, and DS joined in from a year old. By two he was starting to pick out tunes, and at five or six he was reading simple music. This gave him a head-start, and as he got older he went on to play a variety of instruments.

Cups, bowls, little jugs and a basin of water, or lentils.
