Modern Parents

I had my children young-ish when I was 24/25 ( I am now 50 and a lot of my contemporaries have young kids) and brought them up to be respectful and considerate. What I want to know is why are some modern parents so hideously selfish where their kids are concerned? Fair enough run your own house like a chimps tea party but when you go to an expensive hotel or restaurant with your chimps keep them quiet and well behaved out of consideration for other guests.

That's not modern parenting, just shit parenting. The types of parents I dread - the ones that receive a parental lobotomy the minute their precious snowflake is born and assumes that everything/everywhere/everyone is there purely as an amusement or indulgence for their child.

Or they simply cannot grasp that no one loves their child as much as they do.
