Periodic refusal to eat

Does anyone else's child do this...

Ds is 16 months and usually a great little eater. Occasionally he had a week or so where he just refuses anything u give to him...he literally survives on Cheerios and rice cakes that week, with maybe the old yogurt too.

I'm thinking its maybe teething related but so stressful!

Any tips on what to give...I want to avoid just giving snacks.

Sounds perfectly normal. They often have times where they eat everything in sight and others where they are more fussy. I'd just assume he's not hungry, don't make a fuss and don't offer an alternative
