DD1 is nearly 3 and always has been an angel - slept, ate etc.

DD2 is 9 mo - eating fine but taking milk during the day just isn't happening... which is fine until bedtime when she takes 3 full bottles through the course of the night. I feel like it's just a really bad routine & bad habit that we have just let happen for ease. She's currently crying & hubby trying to settle her without feeding!! She's so upset i just don't know what to do for the best - last bottles were at 7 & 12... full bottles too! someone help!?!

I wouldn't go cold turkey on the nkght feeds. If she's taking 8oz for example, cut this to 6oz for a few nights in a row, then 5oz for a few nights in a row until eventually she'll realise it's not worth waking in the night for an oz of milk?

Might work might not?

You need to adjust her during the day not the night. I remember mine both did this....I began offering small amounts of milk in the day before meals and inbetween to get her quota in.

Babies need milk in the night. Dont take it away until she is a year. 2nd siings often feed more in the night because there is so much going on in the day that they end up needing quiet mummy time at night. Go with it until she is 1 then try pick up put down technique. far kinder than controlled crying. it takes 3 nights if you do it properly. Good luck. You're doing great x
