22 month old'a language development concerns (repeating words/phrases)

Ds is 22 months old, in many ways his language is developing really well, he speaks in 3/4 word sentences and has a wide vocabulary. My concerns are that he copies lots, for example when he walks into a room he says "hello Alfie!" (Not his real name) or "hello lovely boy!" Or "here comes Alfie!" Because that is what he has heard us say to him. He also has phrases he has learnt from mr tumble like "the train is leaving the station" which he likes to say when we catch the train, he has also adapted that phrase to "the bus is leaving the bus station" when we catch the bus.

He copies everything, he even came home from nursery speaking some French words when a little French girl started in his group.

I haven't noticed other children copying to the same degree and I know parrot speaking can indicate ASD, we have a family history on both sides of dyslexia and I worry/wonder if the way he speaks could indicate something isn't developing normally.

He is bilingual so maybe that effects things.

I had an appointment with my HV today and she said there was nothing to worry about and as long as he was talking in 3 word sentences by the time he's 3 (he's been doing that since he was 18 months) there is nothing to worry about but she wasn't taking on board my concerns about the huge amount of copying he does.

My family tell me he's just a natural linguist, my dp can speak foreign languages with a perfect accent so maybe he just takes after his dad but I can't shake the feeling that it's a bit odd.

Any experience of toddlers who copy/parrot to this extent?

At this age echolalia can be a perfectly normal stage of language development :)
