6 1/2 month old night terrors??

Hi I'm 26 and a first time mum I've got a 6 1/2 month old baby boy and for the past four months or so he's been waking up screaming not just in the night either can be when he's having a nap during the day. He's fast asleep one min and the next he jumps out of his skin and starts screaming he looks terrified! Does anyone think it could be night terrors? And is there anything I can do to help him not get these? X

I would have thought it's a bit young for night terrors, possibly teething? Teething pain can come very suddenly and then be over just as quickly, it's odd like that. Any other teething symptoms?

I think some enumbers can cause nightmares. We had sleep problems if we use calpol

Very rare he has calpol and not sure if he's getting too many E numbers from food as he's only only jars of food at the moment? And yes mini pie he is teething at the moment he's already got two teeth but constantly chewing in his hands/ toys etc and dribbling lots so maybe it is that? X

I'd reckon teeth then yes, my dd has often had sudden crying fits in the night due to teething pain it sucks!
