lost interest in walking

dd, 16 months, has been walking since 13 months and been mad to do it, hating being held or being in the pram etc. In the last 2-3 weeks though she just doesn't seem to want to walk at all. Some days all she does is cross the lounge a couple of times and that's it. She sort of potters about round my feet but mostly wants to be held and carried. Even when I take her to the park or playgroup she's tending to stay in one place and play with something rather than 'roam' like she used to. Do you think this is age-related? Or the novelty of walking has worn off? She has just got over a nasty viral thing but seems pretty much ok now though is still coughing at night a bit.

my dd 15 mths has been ill recently too, measles etc which wiped her out a lot energy wise, even 2 weeks on, she appears better eating playing, sleeping normally, but she too likes to be close to me, dd wasn't walking but was cruising with great agility one handed pre illness, now we're lucky to see her pull herself upright once a day.
She adn your dd may still be suffering from a virus and be unenergised perhaps?
No doubt you'll on here in a few months screaming "she never stops" !!!

Thanks kiwisbird. I have noticed that she's getting tired more easily than normal and sleeping more than normal too, so maybe the virus is still in her system in some way. I've got a feeling she might be finding it slightly hard to breathe as she's coughing at night (never in the day) and finding it hard to drink from her bottle or cups.
