smugness has bit me in the bum

DS had his first ever friend to sleep over last night. I was very green on this whole thing so looked on here and read a few threads and prepared well. Last night I was so chuffed everything had gone really well, kids got on well, and were asleep by 10.30. Literally nothing went wrong in anyway shape or form, then this morning pick up was 10 and all went ahead without a hitch but my oh my ds has been foul, absolutely, utterly, horribly foul all day. He was only up an extra 3 hours and he is an utter pain in the repeatedly bitten smug bum.

That's normal. Grin

Yes, very normal - but you should be smug about the success of the actual sleepover because it sounds amazingly good. The time I spent hysterically begging DC2 and mates to go to sleep at 3am is the reason DCs 3&4 don't have sleepovers.

DS2 went to one where they finally settled at 5am. Hmm I picked him up at 8am. He was vile for 3 hours, then slept all afternoon.
