Late teething

My dd is 12 and a half months old and still has no teeth. All her friends of around the same age have at least four teeth each and I am getting worried that she is never going to get any! It doesn't seem to stop her eating and chewing properly but I am a born worrier and therefore have to worry about something - anyone else with late teethers?

Ds was almost 14 months before his first one appeared. We had no teething problems at all - didn't suffer when they were cutting through like my dd did (she was about 5 or 6 months when first one came through). I had no idea they were coming through until i could see them as he had no teething symptoms at all and didn't have any sleepless nights with it either. I've often wondered if this was because he was so much older.

My DS has just got his first at 9 months - not that late but of course I was worrying about it. My HV said "Think about it. He's not going to have no teeth when he's 12, is he?"

They will arrive in their own time. Know what you mean about tooth envy though - all DS's little friends seemed to get theirs at 5 months...
