Does anyone's under two have a favourite shape?

20mo DS is fascinated by stars and has been since he was about 15mo - he used to point at them and wait till you said "Star", then grin and laugh. It was one of his first words and he's had a whale of a time pointing them out this Christmas - he always notices even the tiniest star in books, on cards, etc. and has to tell you about them.

Aren't toddlers eccentric little creatures?!

My DS (18m) is really into moons ( or "mooms" as he calls them )and has been since the last full moon about a month ago.
He can spy a picture of a moon (full/part/crescent shaped) from a mile off and, like your DS Hunker, knows which of his books have moons in.
You can be anywhere when he starts getting really excited, shouting "moom moom", and eventually you'll see a crescent moon on a poster or something!

Brilliant - more mad children

Aren't they sweet?! I have to look for ages sometimes to see the tiniest little star that DS has spotted immediately!

(He likes the moon as well - because of the "I love you up to the moon and back" in Guess How Much I Love You - he says "And back!" when he's feeling really happy or is pleased to see DH or me which is heart-meltingly sweet!).

DS (2.4) likes stars too! Seems like thats a popular shape. Weird. He loves twinkle twinkle. Likes to sing it to his little sister, with all the signs!

Stars, but loves Tikkabilla and can now do round and square thanks to DH. Is VERY advanced with speech, (16 months), just like my sister but she's coming on MN so I'll keep it polite!

dd's big favourite (she's just 2): hearts. She's fascinated by shapes, has known names of several since about 20 months. Thought it was a bit odd, glad to see its not!
