Baby not razzing or playing with feet

at 5 months. Should I worry? All the development sites/books I've looked at say he should be doing these by now...

my dd started razzing (I take it you mean blowing raspberries??) at about 9 months and playing with her feet at about 10 months - however she started walking at 9 too.
Nothing she has done has been when the book says - remember they don't get to read the book .
If you are happy with him generally I am sure that he is fine and will get to do these things when he is good and ready.
It is hard not to worry though but try not to!!

I think at that age, what matters more is smiling, looking around etc etc.

My two never played with their feet, and ds has just started blowing razzies now, at the age of 23 months!

Yes - by razzing I meant raspberrying. lol at them not reading the books!

Try not to worry too much inameeting - dd1 never rolled over until she was over a year old - fortunately I didn't have a clue that she was supposed to (neither did she obviously ) - otherwise I'm sure I would have got all het up about it! Sometimes ignorance is bliss. As bellie says, as long as you are happy with his general progress then don't worry about it.

I hate baby books!! Miaou I so agree - ignorance is definitely bliss - think I'll throw mine away. I'm sure there'll only be something in the 6 month section that'll get me worrying again!

oh goodness - dd1 played with her feet, but I dont remember any of the other 3 doing it at all. Im pretty sure they didnt.

My mum took my baby book off me when ds was 4 months old, and I haven't seen it since. I think she threw it away. I can honestly say I have never needed it, but it was amazing how much it used to upset me!

Don't ask any competitive mums - or they will make you c**p it even more telling you that their little angel is already tapdancing

They all develop at their own rate so don't worry - I can never understand why people worry about non-crawling etc - such a bugger when they can move (from someone who has a nearly 14 month old dd1 and is due to have dd2 in Jan - I'm knackered)

Har, yes, apparently my mate's 8 week old baby sai "I love you mummy" at only 9 weeks old. I think she has issues.

Maybe he did say "I love you mummy", but to everyone else it just sounded like "Blllllblmblmoooo"

lol at colditz, think its the smae person my mate knows who thought when the things in her pregnancy diary said the baby could see now she thought it could see out and thought it was funny when her daddy blew raspberries at her, deffinate issues!!!!

DD1 can't have read the baby books-she never blew raspberries or played with her feet.This is also the child who the hv was concerned about at her 7 month check because she wasn't babbling.I worried myself sick & now,at 27months,dd never stops talking.Bin the books.Best place for them.

Mirage - I emailed my hv aboutthe playing with feet and she said she's expect him to be doing this by 6 months - so I have a few weeks left! ...pressure....

I wouldn't worry at all. DD only started playing with her feet at about seven and a half months. Just put her foot in her mouth now at eight and a half. Think she started rasberries at about 6 months.
