Leopold?

I've always had a soft spot for Leopold, and given that it would be shortened to Leo, it's only unusual as a full name. Any thoughts?

Isn't it the name of an unspeakably cruel Belgian tyrant who colonised the Congo?

Nice name, though.

You know tomorrow is Blooms day - no idea when you are due but would be very appropriate for a June 16th baby

SJisontheway - It would, wouldn't it? Joyce is a writer very close to my heart too, so that's another reason Leopold is great.

I really like it. I'm surprised it's not more popular.

I have a Leo and I wish that I'd called him Leopold. So does he. Go for it.

My OH is called Leopold, people call him Leo (except our dentist who says Leopold all the time, it's really funny), but his friends are known him as Poldek. It suits him perfectly.
