Arthur -- too popular
Barney -- prefer Barnaby. The purple dinosaur has killed Barney for me.
Dominic -- Love
Fergus -- Love
Hugo -- Love
Jasper -- Like a lot
Jonah -- Love, also love Jonas
Milo -- Like a lot, but very trendy
Orlando -- Like a lot; has an 1800's air to it somehow
Otis -- Like a lot
Percy -- NO
Rufus -- Like
Sidney -- OK, but it's becoming more a girl's name (Sydney). I also think of an East End slasher type.

Girls:
Amber -- Dislike, sort of an airhead name
Coral -- ok
Dorothy -- dislike, prefer Theodora
Esme -- like
India -- dislike because India is a country
Jemima -- Love
Matilda -- Like
Nancy -- Like
Olive -- Like
Phoebe -- Like
Ramona -- OK, but prefer Renata
Sienna -- too Miller/ Hollywoodish
Verity -- The essence of twee, imo

My thoughts

Arthur - still too old manny
Barney - cute but there's that damn bear
Dominic - good one
Fergus - Sharkey - nah
Hugo - Posh posh
Jasper - love it
Jonah - and the whale - good ring to it
Milo - Venus de? Nice though - as is Arlo
Orlando - another 'o' - know a very cool Orlando of about 40 years of age. Good name - but Woolf's book suggests a certain gender-ambiguity to it
Otis - lifts - or Redding - both are great things, I guess
Percy - pointed at porcelain - no no
Rufus - for a red head
Sidney - old many

Girls:
Amber - green red.....
Coral - I like this, though it seems very 70s - which may be a good thing
Dorothy - Wizard of Oz
Esme - ok
India - no, unless there is a good reason why
Jemima - lovely name. I remember the doll on Playschool.
Matilda - sweet
Nancy - too twee
Olive - On the Buses, is all I can think of when I hear this
Pheobe - Is it not Phoebe - don't like it anyway
Ramona - sounds like a motor mouth - is it just the Ramones echo?
Sie nna - keep it in the paintbox
Verity - too virtuous
