Have you ever heard of this name? Not sure whether I've made it up or not?

Anyway, what do you think?

I think people may think they have misheard and pronounce it and spell it Celia

It sounds a bit made up. But I could be,and often am, wrong.

Very nice name; apparently means 'solemn' in French, and it also appears in Greek and Danish.

I think people will think you've been at the scrabble bag.

There's Zilla I think and Zena and Zinnia. Not heard of Zelia - sounds a bit Delia.

Thanks! I like Zinnia too - pretty and quite unusual - in fact I've never heard of one ever!

I remember it from the Darling Buds of May where all the girls had flower names. I like it too It's elegant and unusual without sounding gimmicky. Can't think of a rl one that I know of.

My neice is called Zelie, after her (French) grandmother. Caused a few from relatives at first, but now everyone likes it. I think it's very pretty, but I love all names beginning with Z

Zinnia was the Cheri Lunghi character in "Cutting It". She played Amanda Holden's mum and she was a porn star.

Zeliha is Turkish. Very old name, hardly used anymore.

It is pronounced in quite the same way as you would pronounce "Zelia", except that the accent would be on the last syllable: Ze-li-A.
