33+5 and struggling with names!! Shortlist so far (in order of preference) are;

Ebony (If born with black hair, not too keen if no hair!! lol)
Ava
Roxanne (Roxy)
Grace
Elizabeth (possible nn Libby)
Jamie
Bailey
Olivia (Liv)

What you think? Ebony is my most favourite and has been since day 1. Not too sure on the rest, nice but not jumping out at me! Also have a 14 year old sister to consider who is vetoing everything I say - except Ebony and Roxy!

Thanks!

I like Elizabeth and Olivia from your list (and love both possible nns). Ava is lovely too, imo.

Roxanne is a bit red lightish. Grace is nice but a bit bland. Jamie and Bailey just don't like. Ebony even if your DD is born with black hair I would say no. There's no guarantee that black hair will last (thinking of one of my DDs who is now a natural blond having been born with masses of black hair). I think as a general rule, anything a 14 year old sister thinks is nice should be ruled out.

I like Roxy and Liv.

Olivia and Grace are lovely but she will be one of many.

Jamie and Bailey - NO.

Thank you! I was a bit with Bailey.. but sis loves it! I think mathanxiety is right, just say no to sister suggestions lol!! Love Liv, but not 100% on Olivia!

Hmm.. plently of time left to decide though!

Please do not take heed of the taste of a 14 yr old!

Elizabeth for me!

Thanks bucharest! Using her name as middle name so she should be happy with that!

a lady was yelling roxy today outside wilkinsons, her dd was about 2, i don't like the name anyway but this put me off more. I don't like ebony either,or jamie or bailey. My dd's nn is lib, so i like libby from your list. olivia is pretty but quite popular if that bothers you. my neice is Ava, age 2, and is scrummy!

Agree mathanxiety - my DD1 was born with a shock of black hair, which is now chestnut brown. Like Elizabeth.

Elizabeth )

If the baby is born wth black hair and you callher Ebony be prepared for all the hair to fall out and her to be bald or go white blond like my DD

Ah, didnt think of that!! Hahaha.. I didn't lose any hair and it's still thick and black but just because I still have the hair, doesn't mean baby will! Oooh, need to reconsider that one now Cheers.. Am starting to like Elizabeth more and more, plus it's my grans name so she'll be happy with it! Ta very much! x

I prefer Grace, Olivia or Elizabeth.

Ava is okay, but I prefer Eva.

I really am not keen on Bailey, Roxanne and Jamie.

Ebony is not ad but there is no way of knowing that a baby, evenif born with black hair, will not go light.

Elizabeth Ebony sounds nice.

I and DP both have very dark hair but DD has blond and DS has mouse brown, and you dont want to jinx her
