What do you think? Is it common/not too common where you live?

Just makes me think of Lara Croft... not good. Don't know any in RL round here (Notts/Derbys)

I only know one, in 30s, don't know any babies with the name

Like it but prefer all the others like:

Lola
Lyla
Layla
Lila

etc.

Also, it seems like a bit of a rip off of Sarah as Sarah seemed to go from that to Sara to Zara to Lara etc.

But I do actually like it!

I have a Lara so obviously I love it

I don't know any one else with that name. But do know a Layla and Lola and Laura.

really love it.... Doctor Zhivago and all that.

only know of one under 10, and I was at school with one.

think it's much nicer than the other names listed below personally

I think it's a beautiful name, simple yet pretty and has the bonus of bring easily spelled and easily pronounced.

I went to school with a Lara in the 1980s. Stuck-up spoilt brat, her named oozed the 'exotic' and 'different'. Now, it's Lara Croft. Those two things put me off. Which is a ridiculous reason, sorry!
