Baby names

I've given my Dh the following Shortlist

Bathsheba · 24/07/2009 14:59

He has said No to every single boy's name suggestion I have come up with.

I have sent him the shortlist. These are my favourites. He can ADD to the shortlist but the name must come from the shortlist.

The middle name is set in stone. Surname is similar to Matthews.

Any obvious front runners or awful things that I've missed..

Stephen Montgomerie
Luke Montgomerie
Christian Montgomerie
Ben Montgomerie
Charlie Montgomerie
Nathan Montgomerie

I like them all btw

Well...he's been ridiculous so far..:-) He has said No to every single suggestion. All of them.

He panics when asked to do serious things so can only come up with the names of footballers past and present as his suggestions - generally their surnames.

He is now "thinking".

He has made no suggestions at all..

Other than Rougvie and Considine.

Do you know it's definitely a boy, and how long have you got to go? Perhaps he's not feeling 'The Fear' yet...

I feel for you I do

Mine said Bobski all the time until I named the Roomba Bobski to shut him up

All perfectly respectable names

what is it with men and boys names?? Thank God we're having a girl or we were going to end up having some BIG arguements!!!! "Darius, come in for your tea" - I think not!!

Wait and see what the baby looks like. It helps to have some favourites, but you don't need to know in advance. DS3 was going to be James, but when he arrived he just didn't look like a James. See what feels right once he's arrived.

I like Christian best too..although that may be slanted reasoning due to my semi-secret Christian Bale crush..

I like all of them - except Luke.

Are you going to end up calling him Monty? I think it is very cute!

Christian Bale is very handsome, but his accent is just too silly these days.

Christian

Don't like Luke or Charlie

Christian is the nicest imo. Lovely in fact.

Stephen reminds me of a smelly boy at school so not keen on it for that reason. To me, it will always be a smelly boy's name.

I love Luke and Christian. I like Ben but better as Benjamin. I don't like Nathan or Charlie.

Christian is revolting. I was married to one once.

I like all but Christian.

Favourite is probably Ben.

Stephen is a good name. I like it with the ph and not a v too.
Luke is a bit short to go with such a long middle name. (does it have to be that middle name?)
Christian is not a name that I am keen on.
Ben is too short. Benjamin?
Charlie isn't a real name. Charles/
Nathan sounds a bit modern to go with the middle name, but is a nice name.

I like Stephen and Luke.

Then I'd go with Steve or Stevie
