I am struggling to find a boys name that is the "one". I like unique names but also names that will grow with them, quite a difficult combo. I like the sound of Brakkai and Indio but would like to test them out before I actually name the baby. Any comments welcome.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

No.

SoupDragon · 02/07/2009 21:13

Cr#p.

MrsMattie · 02/07/2009 21:13

Brakkai is awful. Where is it from? Indio makes me think 'Indigo' and remind some of those 'Indigo Children' loons.

MrsMattie · 02/07/2009 21:13

reminds me

rubyslippers · 02/07/2009 21:13

differentID · 02/07/2009 21:15

EyeballsandherSunburntNorks · 02/07/2009 21:16

Sorry, nope.

hf128219 · 02/07/2009 21:16

Are you a climber?

muggglewump · 02/07/2009 21:17

No.

GossipMonger · 02/07/2009 21:18

You have yo think of the sort of people they will grow into. They sound a bit hippyish but not in a cool way iyswim.

gossipmonger all those names are already taken in my four yr old sons year at school really after something quite unique. my husband likes Olo? hf128219 no im not a climber but i can see where you're coming from. oh dear not the response i was hoping for.

Im sorry but they are awful and both sound made up - as does Olo.

ThePhantomPlopper · 02/07/2009 21:29

Sorry but they are awful.

Pingpong · 02/07/2009 21:31

when you say unique do you mean entirely made up?
I'm not being rude just curious?
FWIW I don't like either any of your two three suggestions so far

harlok · 02/07/2009 21:40

they don't have to be entirely made up however if it sounds nice then i don't mind although all names have to originate from somewhere.
i just prefer to have a name that is unique at least to the area i live in at least.
any suggestions?

i originally liked the name bracken however i discovered that there was another boy in my childs school with the same name so i thought brakkai would be an unusual alternative. maybe not!

sleepyeyes · 02/07/2009 21:46

How about Sholto?
Its a real name and fairly rare.

harlok · 02/07/2009 21:48

no soupdragon i reside here on earth threfor kevin and brian are of no use to me. I mean really you must have pulled all the stops out for those!(hmm)

EyeballsandherSunburntNorks · 02/07/2009 21:53

I'd take Kevin or Brian over anything you've come up with so far. There's unique and then there's downright silly.

harlok · 02/07/2009 21:58

lovely suggestion sleepyeyes it's grabbing me already. just one prob hubby not to keen(grin)
