Astrid + surname E = Astride or am I over-thinking it?

DH and I love love love the name Astrid. Only potential fly in the ointment is that our surname begins with E. This would potentially mean she was Astride... (kind of).

Will this be a fnar fnar nightmare in teenage years? Or am I being too analytical (and teenagers always find something to be rude about anyway).

It wouldn't occur to me and I generally channel the spirit of Sid James.

We are obviously steering clear of Rosie Sarah as middle names...

My fave name of all time with the added bonus that I know NO Astrids under the age of 40! Almost worth a surname change by deed poll!
'Astride' wouldn't have occurred to me either!

Loving Astrid - think it's a great name! WE also have a last name starting with an e and it wouldn't put me off. If dd1 didn't have a name starting with an A I'd pinch it myself, instead have got designs on Beatrice

Lovely name, and yes, I think you are over-thinking it!

It would only be a problem if she was one of 2 Astrids in her class (hence known as 'Astrid E' , which is not very likely.
