I've never heard of it before. I agree with thumbwitch, it doesn't sound like a name. It's a bit like "meh".

How is it pronounced?

answerifyoulike · 18/11/2008 22:04

excuse me I find the term chavy very offensive.

ANDRE.

even Dr Dre's real name is Andre!

you can't do dre, but you can do andre and then call him dre if you so wish imo.

I actually quite like the sound of it, "dray", but I really hate the way that it's spelt so it would be a no from me.

As sophable said, even Dr Dre is called Andre

Report
nooka · 18/11/2008 22:12

But that's a nickname isn't it? I doubt very much his birth certificate says "Dre" on it. It sounds like half a name to me. I think it would be unkind.

Report
Heathcliffscathy · 18/11/2008 22:13

his name is ANDRE YOUNG.

he is NOT CALLED DRE ON HIS BIRTH CERTIFICATE.

Andre is Andrew in French and as such is a perfectly respectable not to say ancient name.

and you can call him whatever pet name you like.
