I like Anna best of these. Imogen is quite nice. Tess is sweet. Not keen on the others.

feeling quite smug as dh's favourites seem less popular than mine so far! I like Rosalind, or at least Rosie, but DH not keen. also like emma and laura, but have close friends with dc with those names, so probably ruling those out.

Anna, Tess, Imogen and Charlotte are my favourites.

Paula makes me think of Paula Abdul.

Like Anna, none of the others. Your baby though, your choice.

Good luck.

But I always suggest looking at the List of Most Popular Girls' Names for the last 5 years if you don't want your DD to be one of 3 Charlottes or watevers in her class.

I'm sure you'll choose the best name for your dd!

love all these names:
tess
naomi
lara
charlotte
imogen

The others are fine as well.

I would probably choose Tess.

I would probably go for Charlotte

also like Carla, Naomi and Imogen,

I'm due a girl in 10 weeks and she is going to be Bethany (we have a bugger of a surname)

I love Rosalind/Rosie, try to convince your DH! Otherwise Anna is lovely too.

Report
sweetkitty · 01/05/2008 13:00

DD1 is adamant this one is called Rosie but our surname is one syllabel beginning with a R.

barbiehouse · 01/05/2008 13:08

I suppose with imogen I'm not sure that i like how it sounds - but i think that you always assume that imogens are beautiful children IYSWIM.

Dh has only liked Carla, since all the photos of Carla Bruni were in the news. I just think of that girl who got married on BRMB radio station all those years ago

sweet kitty - i love names where the first and second names start with the same sound - not much choice with our surname.

Rosie really doesn't go with our surname though.

Report
barbiehouse · 01/05/2008 14:16

that is really annoying isn't it - i've had to strike quite a few off the list because of our surname, and there are some which i should but can't bear to. I keep thinking that i'll save those names for a future dog/cat/hamster!
