What do you think? I think it is SO COOL and we are 99% set on it. I guess I'm just curious about what other people think, since it's not a very common name these days.

Please forget the aadvark and the lifts (we've seen both mentioned and are completely unbothered about both).

I like it. Makes me think of Otis Reading, not lifts or aardvarks.

Just clicked on this thread to say "the aardvark" and then read the rest of your post, damn, but that is the first thing that came to mind but it won't come to mind of anyone of his generation so why not I guess.

It might not be as unusual as you think, there were THREE in our baby sensory class.

FWIW I do like the name.

I love it.

I'm 36 weeks pregnant and if this one is a ds id love to call him Otis. As it is, ds1 has an O name so dh has vetoed Otis.

I just met a baby Otis and loved him, so now I've taken a shine to it.

It's quite chic.

Otis Redding or Milo and Otis.

Two very different associations, one much cooler than the other, but the other isn't bad.

I like it. It's better than Otto, which seems to be popping up everywhere lately.

I like it, i think it's trendy and is one that can fit into the category of aspirational (which i think is a positive) names like Hugo, Monty, Otto etc
:)

I don't dislike it and think it's a cute and cool name.

Does make me think of a 90s cbbc presenter - think he did news round
