Love all three but especially Hettie, then Ivy then Hetta is Hettie a short version of Harriet?

I like Ivy.

have you thought of Iris?

The Hettie I know is short for Heather. I like Hettie best, Hetta is OK but I haven't heard of it before. Ivy is just not to my taste but a fine name.

Hetty is definitely on the up, I know of two Born recently.

I like Hetta from your list.

I think Ivy or Hettie, because Hetta sounds a bit ... rough for a girl imho.

I like Hettie and Hetta - I think there is a Hetta in a Trollope novel short for Henrietta. I prefer Harriet though.

Harriet or Henrietta with Hetty or Hetta as nn.

I like Ivy the best. Such a lovely name.

I haven't heart of Hetta before, and it's my least favourite of the three - I think it sounds slightly harsh.

Someone else suggested Iris - that's lovely.

Never heard of Hetta. Hetty might get shortened to Het.

Ivy for me.

I also like pps' suggestions of Henrietta and Iris though. Also, how about Hester?

There's a Hetta in a Trollope novel - The Way We Live Now (brilliant read!) - but it's short for Henrietta.
Why not give her the full version, and use the nn if you prefer? That would give her the option later.

I know it's a generational thing, but to me Ivy is very old lady-ish, and I'm afraid it's the type of old lady in a pinny, with rollers in her hair and a fag hanging out of her mouth.

Ivy and Hettie are lovely.

Francesca and Frankie might appeal too?
