I'm 38 weeks and despite complete amity on a boys name OH and I can't decide on a girls name. So far the only one we both agree on is Sabrina. I'm just not sure about possible nicknames? The teenage witch doesn't really bother me as I hope it will have retired to the recesses of satellite tv by the time she is old enough. Other possibilities Chloe , Aurora (me - neither favoured by OH who is at best lukewarm) and Alexandra which I find too hard. Could the wise mumsnet jury lower the gavel and arbitrate?

Didn't they sometimes call Sabrina the teenage witch sab?
I really like aurora in theory it just sounds terrible with my accent looks lovely written down and beautiful meaning. I like Alexandra too I also liked Luna but wasn't brave enough oh and I had a boy Grin

Thanks, I love aurora but OH not keen! Will bear it in mind in the shortlist. You never know if a little boy arrives we are sorted anyway!

Oooh I LOVE Sabrina! Makes a refreshing change from the top 10 names (which while they are pretty names do become rather dull when exposed to them again and again).

Nina would be an obvious nn to me.

Aurora in an italian accent is beautiful 'ah-oo-rohrah'. Simar is Aurelia or Eleanor/a.

Oh I love Sabrina.
Serena?

Chloe, meh.
Alexandra is alright, but just not grabbing me.
Aurora is lovely but could be very difficult for her to pull off. It's a lot of name iyswim.

Iora I agree Chloe was an attempt at compromise. I am obviously craven but feel the same way about aurora. Snuffle I think we will go with it! Nina or Brina I can live withSmile selena and aurelia already vetoed (sulk). Sabrina it is! Thanks for your help.
