Just found out we're having a boy! I'm in shock, as one of 6 girls I never thought we'd have a boy in the family! So excited!
My mum is one of 4 girls, her mum is one of 7 girls.
We already have one girl, 3 of my sisters have at least 2 girls..
This is such a big deal, I'm honoured!!
What would you name him? I feel it needs to be the most masculine name ever haha!
Ps tell me about your lovely sons, I'm so excited to have my own!

I'd choose something top 20 traditional like William, George, Benjamin. To me these are 'strong' names. But you can name him anything and he'll still be wonderful, I bet :-)

:) Exciting!! I have 2 boys (nearly 15 and 14 now) and they are the light of my life and always have been. They are laid back, lovely, kind, handsome, funny and loving. I am sure girls are great too but I can't compare as we are an all boy household.

What type of names do you like?

Traditional/Celtic/modern/Surnamey?

How about:
Dexter
Cormac
Jack
Brodie
Andrew
Keir
Magnus
Patrick
Joe
John

All quite manly but differing styles.

Congratulations, what a special little boy he will be, I have a little boy and he is the light of my life, so loving and sweet.

I think all the names mentioned above are great, go with what you like, what your husband/partner likes and a name you feel would be nice for a little boy and a grown man.

Is Adam a bit naff?? For a 1st born boy will people think it's because of Adam and Eve?!
Love a short snappy name. Ben is lovely, is it too dull?? I think you can be a bit more flouncy with girl named but for me boys names should be strong and solid iykwim??! X

I've got a Ben. It's an awesome name. He is also the only boy in my side of the family for generations and the only male grandchild on either side
Strong and masculine.... Thor? Hercules? Grin

He might not be the most masculine child surrounded by so many female role models Grin

When did Adam become a naff name?

I like Adam too, and don't think it's naff. Presumably your husband's family is used to boys?! How about Conrad?

Hmmm - short, snappy and strong. How about: Aaron, Edward, Hugh, Guy, or Paul.
