What do you think of these names? Struggling to agree on a name.
Not sure what sex baby is and we have 5 weeks till due date (poss sooner as recent contractions etc and goings on);
other children are finn, amber and Billy (william) so needs to fit in!

Girls.
Sidney - family connection for males in ohs family.
OH will consider these names at a push
Freya
Sienna
Summer

Boys
Harrison - not overly keen but only name what we can both agree on!

Arthur - OH Loves this as it was his grandads name and has strong family connections. Am not sure I like it :/ sounds very oap to me!!

Any suggestions based on what I have said?

Thanks

I like Sidney, Sienna and Harrison.

I loved Orla, Erin and Cassie for a girl and Ellis, Evan and Ruairi for a boy.

DH however vetoed all of these girls names and we didn't need to the boy ones in the end.

Prefer Arthur to Harrison and I like Sidney but would spell it Sydney!

I like Summer and Freya. Sienna is okay but a bit 'trendy.' I don't really like Sidney, sorry.

I personally really don't like Harrison at all - to me it's a surname! - and I prefer Arthur, although it's a bit old fashioned.

I have to ask - why on earth not Sidney for a boy? You say it's after a male family connection, and it is a boy's name, not a girl's name.

But Sidney is not a girls name. Anyway I don't like it because it makes me think of Sid James out of the Carry On films. And it rhymes with kidney.

I don't go for any of your girls names unfortunately. I don't like Freya, I see Sienna as a bit of a celeb name, and both these names will date. Summer is OK, but I'm not keen on those hippy-style names.

I don't like Harrison as it is blatantly a surname.

But I do like Arthur! Not much help, I'm afraid! Grin

Arthur is very now. It's a strong contender for the Royal Baby if male, if you believe the bookies Grin Definitely not an OAP name though.

I don't like Harrison because I tend not to like very surnamey names. Would you call him Harry? The few Harrisons I know are all known as Harry. Would you consider just choosing Harry?

I prefer Sydney rather than Sidney. There's also Sidonie which is French and very chic used in the UK. I agree with you that it's a better name for a girl than a boy at the moment, but only spelt with a y, otherwise it's a boy's name given to a girl.

Freya is a fairly popular name around here. I like it better than Sienna (although I prefer one n like the city, Siena) or Summer (which I think is a bit boring, sorry).

Max? Lucas?
Sofia? Stella?

From your girls list I like Freya best. Summer is fine, not keen on Sienna, I think it will date quickly. From your boys I quite like Arthur, love nn Art. Harrison is ok although in general I don't like surname first names.
