Henry - too common?

My DH and I are thinking about Henry for our son due in Sept. My issues with this name are:

1. Is it really popular at the moment?
2. What would his friends nickname him? Hen/hank!?! Nooo!

It's popular, but not as popular as George, Dylan and Freddie who seem to be everywhere where I live.

It's a lovely name - classic and timeless. I like it a lot.

I have a DS called Henry. There are a few about (north London) but not as many as Harry.

My SIL calls him Henners. My nanny calls him Hens. My brother calls him Hamburger.

Lovely name, was tempted for our DS but chose something else instead. It's not common at all where I am. Such a lovely name...go for it!

I've always loved it- almost chose it for DS but decided not to as I was worried it was too popular, but I do sometimes wish I'd gone with it. I know a lot of babies now but don't know any Henry's now! I'm in south east.

Yes, becoming quite trendy, along with Jack, Alfie, Oscar, Harry. Isn't Harry the nickname for Henry? That's got to be better than Hen or Hank!

I love it and it's top of my list. I like it much much more than Harry, of which there are many here in the Cotswolds.

However, I think it's becoming more popular, and I know two toddlers called Henry near me. I think I might use it anyway
