It's a sur name. I can just see it over a newsagents or a butchers.

But I like that it could be Don for short. That I like. Actually, can I change my mind? It's grown on me Confused

Love it and would have used it but it was a bit too "out there" to go with DS1 whose name is very traditional. Plus not wild on Donny or Don as a NN. Have met only one little one recently.
