Baby names

Has anyone ever felt like they are never going to find a name they like?

I keep going through lists and I can honestly say there is not one name I am even considering at the moment.

I am only 17 weeks at the mo, so plenty of time but I am starting to think this is going to be impossible!

Can we help? Are there some names you definitely don't like, and some you think are OK? Do you prefer old fashioned or modern names, long or short, fashionable or unusual? Any names of friends and family that you like, to give us an idea of style?

i like modern names that are prefereably not on the top 100 lists (although that's not a deal breaker)

I quite like the name Xander for a boy although I keep going off it and I like Zara (although maybe too popular) for a girl. But I say like not love.

For some unknown reason I like names with X's and Z's :)

Xanthe for a girl then? Or Zoe?

Yes, I felt like that until about 25 weeks when suddenly it came to me.

I like very few boys' names! I realise that now. Really fussy Smile

It will come. You'll think of something and it will feel 'right'.

thanks for all the suggestions!

I quite like Dexter and names that will be shortered to Max which everyone says is a dog's name.

I like names like Alexandra etc but my I can't use them as it's my husband's name so they are out.

I can't wait to find out what I am having so I can narrow down the search somewhat! Grin
