'Masculine' sounding girls names.

I cannot abide overly twee girls names, and am hoping to find something that sounds 'masculine' and almost surnamey.

At the moment I like-
Sloane
Tate
Blair
Peyton
Quinn
Whittier

Any other suggestions? Ideally they'd go with classical, albeit more feminine name like Charlotte, Alice, Jane...

I have loved both Scout and Harper (Lee) ever since I read To Kill a Mockingbird in School...damn Victoria Beckham. Alas, Scout could be a possibility :)

How about Joss?

StetsonsAreCool · 18/05/2012 23:06

Scout is a good one, I know a teenage boy with it as his middle name.
And I know a toddler boy Peyton.
Tate is on my hypothetical boys list too.

Umm, not being helpful. I quite like your list though. Can't think of any more right now, but I'll come back when my brain's working.

My DD is Darcey, which at the time we thought was a 'stronger' girls name and more surnamey. It seemed less girly than our other ideas anyway.

As she's got older, it seems to have got cuter though, so maybe that's not such a good example.
